Customer Review: All in one fondue pot

This is a great fondue pot. Being new to doing it at home (but loving it out at restaurants), I was a little confused when reading fondue recipes. But be assured, this little pot and its heating unit can do it all! Many of the recipes call for you to start the broth, etc, on the stove and then move it to the pot. You do not have to do it with this pot! I still start my cheese fondue on the stove for a faster melting experience and then transfer it over, but meat cooked in a wine broth and chocolate melted in the ceramic pot was a breeze! The meat was fully cooked through, and tasted just as good, if not better, than at the restaurants! This is a perfect size pot for the two of us here, and made for a fancy and romantic New Year's dinner.
My only complaint, which is why this review is only 4 stars instead of 5, is the break away power plug. Any small movement and it breaks away. We do not have an outlet near our table, so I plugged it in via extension cord. I have to do fancy things to keep the slack of the cord up, otherwise the weight of this short cord pulls the power source out of the pot. Even plugging it in the first time, it barely stays in. It needs to have a bit more of a snap or feeling that the plug is securely in, because right now, it pops out at the slightest movement. Other than that, this is a great pot and I highly recommend it!

The 11 piece set is a space saver offering the choice of either hot broth or oil based fondue for meat and seafood or just pop in the stoneware bowl for cheese or chocolate fondue. The mirror finish 18/10 stainless steel pot rests on a modular warming base that has a non-stick warming plate with a variable temperature control. The built in light indicates either on or off. The electric fondue also comes equipped with a quick release, magnetic power cord for safety, 6 stainless steel forks with a bright dot of color on the end for ease of identification and a fork guide to keep forks from sliding. 500 watts and UL approved.Fondue
