Customer Review: Overall good, but expected slightly bigger

I bought this rack to use under a 17-lb Thanksgiving Day turkey. Upon receiving the product, the packaging said it would hold up to a 15-lb turkey. The handles for the rack did not even come remotely close to fitting around my 17-lb turkey & locking in place, and I doubt that the 2-extra pounds of meat made that much of a difference! I think it'd work great on a chicken, or much smaller turkey (maybe 10-12 lb max).
I ended up tucking the handles underneath the bird during cooking, and that was fine. The rack did keep the turkey elevated just enough so that it stayed out of the juices during roasting.
The rack is silicone & non-stick which is great! I was able to rinse off some of the nasty junk on it, then rolled it up and stuck it standing up in my dishwasher. It came out clean - no scrubbing necessary!
I plan on using it in my slow cooker when I make roasts & brisket.
