This frother is the best! It produces a really sturdy milk foam, which I love. I've tried cappucino makers, but don't think the result is worth the effort it takes to make the foam and clean the machine and all its valves. And I have two other hand-held, battery operated milk frothers: an aerolatte and a bodum. Neither comes close to doing the job the trudeau can do. The only other method which rivals it is the old-fashioned european method of steaming the milk in a French press, and then pumping it with the coil beater-- but that takes time and effort, and is more of a pain to clean. A few years ago, when my nanny put my trudeau tirro in the dishwasher and wrecked it, I was devastated, as I couldn't find it on the market anymore. That's when I was forced to try all these other methods, and none have come close. I'm thrilled to find it again!
